Magic: the Gathering - New Phyrexia
New Phyrexia, Set 3 of 3 in the Scars of Mirrodin block. Here’s a sampling of some of the amazing / epic concept illustration from Richard Whitters (lead), Mark Tedin, Chippy, Dave Allsop, Wayne Reynolds, Franz Vohwinkel, and Jeremy Jarvis.
This just blew my mind and I’ve never seen forgiveness in this way.
didn’t know I needed to see this

I like how in old animation, you knew what object the characters would interact with. Because they were significantly less detailed the the stationary objects around them.
i knew when like avalanches were gonna happen and stuff
Boy of nine killed himself after he was ‘bullied for being white’ by an Asian gang at school. He was told by other pupils ‘all white people should be dead’ and he was forced to hide from the bullies in the playground at lunchtime.
Don’t you ever try to tell me there is no such thing as racism against white people. And don’t you dare fucking tell me it’s ‘reverse’ racism either.
And this was in the UK. He and his family are in their own country, their own homeland.
Repeat after me: ALL RACISM IS BAD. RACISM AGAINST ANYBODY IS BAD. PERIOD.
this is not racism!!!
this is what you call prejudice, where this behavior is not based on internalized behavior in society — it is based on how the people being prejudiced were raised.
what they did to this boy was horrible and disgusting and should not be overlooked, but it was not racism. it was prejudiced bullying. reverse racism still doesn’t exist. that’s all
No. The fucking definition of racism is prejudice based on race. This is racism. This is not institutionalised racism, it is not by any standards a major problem in society. But it is racism. Should we be concerned about racism specifically against white people? Of course not. We should be worried about fucking racism itself, because the concept of having prejudice against someone just because of their race is fucking dumb no matter who the prejudice is aimed towards.
^^^ Would have fucking loved this post to have been on my dash a few hours back when I was being hounded for saying racism towards white people is a thing. 9 fucking years old. All racism is bad racism.
MY GRANDMA GOT ALL A’S IN “ETIQUETTE” (YES THAT WAS AN ACTUAL CLASS IN HER HIGH SCHOOL) AND SHE TOLD ME, “DEAR,” SHE SAID,
“YOU NEVER CROSS YOUR LEGS, YOU CROSS YOUR ANKLES. BUT THE GREAT THING ABOUT YOU LIVING IN THIS GENERATION IS YOU DON’T HAVE TO FOLLOW MY GENERATION’S RULES. SIT THE WAY YOU WANT. IF SOMEONE LOOKS UP YOUR SKIRT, JUST TELL THEM YOUR AUNT MARY WILL KILL THEM.”
WHICH IS TRUE
MY AUNT MARY HAD A SWITCHBLADE IN A SPECIAL POCKET OF HER NIGHTGOWN UNTIL THE DAY SHE DIED
the moral of this story is
1. Sit the way you want.
2. My great aunt Mary was a fucking badass.
Among the stupider things I found while hunting for gifs.
Obviously when you’re not a Vanderbiltian silver fox, the sun just shifts it’s lighting all the time to make you look the exact same in all situations. It’s cosmic affirmative action!
This is a good post by one of the creators of Avatar: The Last Airbender on color theory, and how color can look completely different depending on surrounding colors and context.
Uhh…that last image isn’t from the Aladdin film…It’s from a porn comic. It’s been cropped, in the full image he’s being blown by Hercules.

I need feminism because most men’s restrooms still aren’t equipped with baby changing stations. As someone who was married to a man who had sole custody of his young son, I’m hyperaware that feminism means EQUALITY, not female superiority. Feminism should and does support a man’s right to be as much of a parent to his child(ren) as any mother is allowed/expected to be.
This is a constant problem for Mr. Tea and myself. We’ve got twins, so even though I can change one kid on the change table in the ladies’ room, he’s left standing sort of awkwardly in the lobby with a messy child while I change one, come back, and get the other.
Nobody’s suggesting that men aren’t parents, so the lack of change tables goes well beyond ‘gender role reinforcing’ and straight into ‘ridiculous’.
My dad actually almost got kicked out of a mall once for changing my brother in the womens room of a mall. The only reason they didn’t call the cops on him was because the ladies in the room supported him.
